Submitting and responding to complaints is as much of an acquired skill set as approving promotional material. However, there are precious few opportunities to practice.
Good arguments and well presented cases can increase the likelihood of a positive outcome. However the reverse is also true.
This course will support students in enhancing the knowledge and skills necessary to conduct successful inter-company dialogue and formal complaints raised with the PMCPA.
Students will have the opportunity to practice submission of a complaint and response from start to finish in a series of coach-assessed exercises.
In particular, completing this course will enable students to:
establish a clear understanding of the PMCPA constitution as it relates to complaints
apply the relevant aspects of the constitution in a practical setting
improve written communication skills in relation to Code complaints
encourage a structured approach to complaints incorporating strategic and tactical considerations
raise awareness of the time and resource commitment associated with code complaints
introduce basic investigative skills
understand the Appeals process

This course is specifically designed for aspiring signatories and those existing signatories who are looking to refresh their skills, perhaps as part of ongoing training.

This is a distance-learning course designed to immerse students in scenarios relevant to everyday practice. Students will be expected to submit assignments and will receive tutor feedback on every assignment. There are 7 core modules - all of which can be completed on-line or remotely.

This course not only includes the background detail of the Act, but also an opportunity to explore the day to day implications by the use of a scenario based assessment set.
The course then goes on to provide some guidance on the areas of policy and procedures that might need further consideration given the implications of the Act.
